Are you a Qualified Accountant/Qualified by Experience Accountant in Belfast looking for an opportunity where you will add really value over the next 6-12 months? Our client, a Group Organisation based in Belfast, are looking to recruit a Company Accountant to their finance function. Here you will work closely with the Head of Finance, overseeing the finance team during which time you will play a key part in process improvement.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Company Accountant will manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department. You'll lead on monthly management reporting, annual budgeting, and cash flow forecasting, while ensuring robust financial controls and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts to the senior leadership team

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts

  • Preparation of Management Accounts
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with reporting standards

  • Oversee and support a small finance team, including transactional finance staff

  • Process improvement/process automation.
  • Provide financial analysis and insight to support business planning and performance



About You

  • Fully or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)

  • Strong Excel and IT skills, with experience using accounting systems

  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time-management skills

  • Proactive communicator with a hands-on approach

  • Confident working independently and taking ownership of key finance processes
