A UK based SME are currently recruiting a Company Accountant to join their team in Belfast for an initial 6-month contract role with a view to being made permanent upon successful completion of the initial contract period.

VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting a Company Accountant to join a UK based SME for their Belfast Office. The organisation has a £100m turnover and is growing from strength to strength with this being an exciting time to join the team.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Company Accountant will be a key member of the senior management team. You will assume responsibility for producing monthly management accounts, preparing year end accounts, while supervising a small finance team.

This role is initially set for a period of 6 months and will be based in their Office based just outside of the City Centre. The business has a flexible approach to the working hours for this role, and are happy to consider a 4-day working week, for the right candidate.

The Ideal Person

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE (Qualified by experience)
• Strong reporting skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong work ethic and comfortable in a deadline driven industry
• Available at short notice

Responsibilities

As a Company Accountant you will:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of cashflows
• Development of projections and budgets
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Management of small finance team
