VANRATH are partnered with a highly reputable engineering business based in South Belfast, in their recruitment of a Company Accountant. The Company Accountant will be covering a period of long-term sickness, and will report directly to the Managing Director, taking responsibility for the full financial operations. The interim contract will be for a minimum period of 6 months, however it may be extended beyond the initial timeframe.
This role is suitable for both Qualified & Qualified by Experience Accountants, with proven experience in preparing management accounts to trial balance, along with supervisory experience. The Company Accountant will oversee a small finance team, ensuring all transactions are processed in line with agreed timescales.
This is an urgent posting and is offering the opportunity for an immediate start.
About you
- Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant
- Strong IT skills, including Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
- Supervisory experience
- Available at short notice
What you'll do
- Produce monthly management accounts
- Assist with the production of annual financial accounts
- Prepare balance sheet recs, budgets/forecasts
- Supervise small finance team
- Review and submit payment runs
