Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our Major Client with the Recruitment of a Communications Officer to join their growing and dynamic team in Belfast City Centre.

Salary - £32,880

Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  • - Develop and implement effective communication strategies and campaigns to promote the organization's mission and goals
  • - Create and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials to local and national media outlets
  • - Serve as the organization's spokesperson, handling media inquiries and coordinating interviews with key staff members
  • - Manage the organization's social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments or messages
  • - Coordinate and support internal communications efforts, including employee newsletters, memos, and announcements
  • - Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels
  • - Monitor media coverage of the organization and industry trends to identify opportunities for proactive communication initiatives

Experience:

  • - Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
  • - Proven experience in developing and executing successful communication strategies
  • - Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with media contacts and key stakeholders
  • - Proficient in social media platforms and content management systems
  • - Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • - Knowledge of current trends in public relations and communications
