Commercial Litigation Solicitor - Belfast
A leading commercial law firm with an established and highly regarded dispute resolution practice is seeking to strengthen its commercial litigation team as a result of continued growth. The team is recognised for advising on complex, high-value disputes across multiple sectors and for delivering technically robust, commercially focused solutions aligned to client priorities. The practice combines deep litigation expertise with a strong emphasis on strategic risk management and alternative dispute resolution, acting for a diverse client base including major corporations and growing businesses.
The Role
You will join a busy and dynamic commercial litigation team, handling a varied caseload of contentious matters, including complex commercial disputes and contested construction litigation. The role will involve:
Managing your own caseload of commercial litigation matters
Preparing pleadings, legal submissions, and court documentation
Advising clients on litigation strategy and risk assessment
Participating in settlement negotiations and ADR processes
Supporting senior lawyers on significant, high-value cases
Contributing to business development and client engagement initiatives
The role offers exposure to a broad range of dispute types and the opportunity to further develop advocacy skills alongside modern dispute resolution techniques.
Experience & Skills
Experience in commercial litigation
Strong drafting, advocacy, and analytical skills
Excellent client communication and relationship management abilities
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
Experience in construction litigation and exposure to ADR would be advantageous
