VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a successful and well-recognised manufacturing organisation based in Ballymena, as they recruit a Commercial Finance Manager on a temporary basis, with the intention of making the role permanent.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing commercial insight, financial analysis and decision support across operations, sales and supply chain. This is a highly visible role within the business, ideally suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with non-finance stakeholders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for supporting business performance through high-quality financial insight, analysis and commercial challenge, ensuring profitability and strategic objectives are achieved.
Support to Finance Director and Senior Leadership Team to:
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and rolling forecasts, working closely with operational and commercial teams
- Provide detailed margin, profitability and cost analysis across products, customers and contracts
- Business partner with Operations, Sales and Supply Chain to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Deliver monthly management accounts support, including variance analysis, commentary and actionable insights
- Lead product costing and standard costing processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with commercial strategy
- Support pricing decisions, customer tenders and commercial negotiations through robust financial modelling
- Drive improvements in financial controls, reporting processes and ERP utilisation
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across finance and wider business processes
- Support development and adherence to financial policies and procedures
- Attend management meetings and provide clear, concise financial insight to non-finance stakeholders
Education / Experience:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or qualified by experience)
- Proven experience in a manufacturing and/or commercial finance environment
- Strong background in business partnering and financial analysis
- Experience with product costing, margin analysis and commercial decision support
- Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to influence at all levels
