Are you looking for a Public Sector Coach Builder/Mechanic role? Interested in working for one of N.I. largest Public Sector organisations?
VANRATH are recruiting a Coach Builder/Mechanic to maintain and repair all body and structural aspects of a vehicle, carry out vehicle inspections and associated administrative duties. This role will initially be a 6 month contract with great likelihood of being extended
Remuneration:
c£30,000, alongside holiday entitlement and pension (from day one).

Our client is one of the largest Public Sector organisations in NI.
The Ideal Person
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years' post apprenticeship experience in a similar role.
- Recognised Vehicle Apprenticeship with minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade or discipline.
- Diagnostic ability where applicable.
- Flexible attitude to work and working hours with ability to work additional hours when required or at short notice
Desirable
- Experience in a similar role working on commercial vehicles.
- Relevant engineering experience on buses and/or coaches.
- Possess large vehicle licence, preferably a PCV licence.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, maintain and prepare Client's fleet to PCV standards
- Test operation, diagnose faults and rectify defects on vehicle systems as appropriate
- Remove and replace vehicle components as appropriate
- Perform accident repair
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns as appropriate
- Complete administrative duties associated with the post
- Other appropriate duties
