Are you looking for a CAD Technician role? Interested in working for a leading commercial fit-out contractor?

VANRATH are recruiting a CAD Technician to work on various bespoke commercial fit out projects, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration:
c£27,000 - £32,000 + package

Client:
Our client is a dynamic fit-out contractor based in Greater Belfast, Northern Ireland. They specialise in high quality commercial fit-out projects covering retail / shopfitting, bars and restaurants, hotels, commercial offices, gyms and more.

Business is very busy and continuing to grow and as a result they are looking for a CAD Technician to join them on a permanent basis. The CAD Technician will play a key role in the CAD team responsible for the coordination and delivery of commercial and bespoke fit-out services.

Role:

• Working closely with the Estimating team, receiving handover information on new contracts
• Obtaining customer/architect design intent information
• Producing working drawings from design intent
• Issuing and administering all drawing approvals and construction issue documents for production
• Preparing material cutting sheets for production for joinery and metal fabrication departments
• Co-ordination of drawings and assembly details with site fixers
• Providing effective communication and feedback information to all relevant parties
• Liaising with sub-contract representative(s) / manufacturers & site installers where required to ensure the supply chain has a full and correct understanding of our requirements
• Responding to on-site urgent / non-urgent requirements and facilitate effective problem solving to maximise customer satisfaction and minimise site fixing time
• Being aware of client and site rules, works risk and health & safety regulations when preparing working drawings
• Ensuring full compliance with statutory legislation, company and department procedures and guidelines
• Ensuring Company policies and standards are always maintained along with commercial awareness and a strong commitment towards quality and customer service
• Ensuring all department documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with company policy ensuring that all documentation is finished within the required time
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by your Line Management

The Ideal Person:

• Degree Qualified or other relevant qualifications
• Strong AutoCAD knowledge
• Ability to deal professionally with customers/clients
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong IT skills including Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Good written & oral communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
• Ideally have experience working on Joinery manufacturing and / or commercial fitout projects
