Are you looking for a Buyer role? Interested in working for a leading Building Contractor that specialise in Social Housing Maintenance?

VANRATH are recruiting a Buyer to work on Social Housing Maintenance projects for a leading Building Contractor, based in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone.

Remuneration:
£30,000 - £35,000 DOE + package

Client:
Our client is a leading Building Contractor that specialise in Social Housing Maintenance contracts, delivering planned and responsive maintenance projects throughout Northern Ireland. The company have a great reputation for providing a fully committed and quality focused service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement of all materials
• Identifying potential suppliers and new products
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and agreements to secure the best possible pricing, quality and delivery schedules
• Keeping detailed records and maintaining a well‐organised work schedule
• Generate purchase orders, track order status, and coordinate with suppliers to expedite deliveries and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise
• Dealing effectively with challenges with suppliers and the flow of materials

The Ideal Person:

• Background working in Procurement role
• At least 2 years' experience Buying
• Excellent commercial awareness
• Ideally have experience working in the construction industry
• ERP System experience is ideal
• Ability to manage data and reporting
• Strong IT skills
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Strong communicator with the ability to work alongside other departments
