Our client is a leading fit-out and civil engineering contractor delivering on projects across Northern Ireland.

They have a great opportunity for a Buyer to join them on a permanent basis, working in their head office in County Down

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing, negotiating and procuring appropriate materials
• Cost efficiency
• Following schedules
• Delivering on project budgets
• Delivering quality standards

The Ideal Person:

• Experience in a similar procurement role in the construction industry
• Quantity Surveying background
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, supply chain management and purchasing processes
• Experience of the tender process
• An aptitude for figures and the ability to manage a budget
• An analytic mind and problem-solving skills
• A full driving licence
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools
