Strategic Project Support Officer

Location: Boucher Road, Belfast
Salary: £18.91 per hour
Contract: 6 months, with potential for extension

VANRATH is delighted to partner with a prominent public service organisation in their search for a Strategic Project Support Officer. This is a unique opportunity to support critical projects and play a key role in business case development and project delivery.

The Role
As a Strategic Project Support Officer, you will:

  • Develop, manage, and oversee business cases from initiation through to post-project evaluation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritise and deliver projects aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Provide advice and training on business case preparation to ensure consistency and high-quality standards.
  • Track project progress, manage risks, and ensure effective governance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the organisation's strategic goals by ensuring projects meet financial and corporate requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance) and at least 2 years of business case experience OR an HND and 3 years of experience.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • A valid driving licence and access to transport for work purposes.
