Business Development Manager - Solar

Job Description

VANRATH have partnered with a 5* rated and booming company that is a leader in the solar field. The organisation is recruiting for a Business Development Manager position.

This role is very technical heavy role, a lot of sales leads currently come in for both Commercial and Domestic customers. This company holds their client retention extremely highly and it is key in their sales process.

Hours

Monday - Friday

Salary
£40,000 - £50,000 plus a fantastic benefits package and Commission

(OTE of £70,000 - £80,000 - fully uncapped)

+ Company Vehicle (very low tax)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service while delivering sales.
  • Provide quotations, relevant information and data to potential customers as well as presentations, demonstrations and events.
  • Participate in relevant sales and marketing events to promote the business.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with commercial and domestic customers.
  • Keep abreast of developments regarding Solar / PV.
  • Presenting to clients.

Person Specification

  • Engineering / Electrical/ SolarPV background
  • Field based sales are ideal, though we will look at candidates coming from a purely technical background.
  • Trustworthy.
  • Presenting skills / experience presenting.
  • People person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to network and build strong working relationships with senior level staff.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be self sufficient.
  • Full clean driving licence.
