Job Description
VANRATH have partnered with one of the Ireland's leading family run meat manufacturers, they are seeking to add a Business Development Manager to the team due to a recent promotion, this role will primarily drive New Business.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic sales team and have ownership of both new and existing sales business.
The role involves extensive travel throughout NI, you may be required to travel to the ROI site on occasion.
Salary
£34,000 - £37,000 + quarterly bonus + Company Car (EV) + daily food allowance
Working hours
Times of work may be variable depending on customer demands. The role is full-time with an estimated total of 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day excluding lunch breaks (Monday-Friday). However, the nature of the Company's business may make considerable demands upon its employees who are expected to be reasonably available to work outside normal working hours from time to time. This role may require attendance at promotions / events on occasion and therefore evening and weekend work may be necessary.
One day a week from home hybrid available.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for developing new accounts, managing existing accounts and identifying opportunities for future development.
- Relationship building with key personnel, i.e. Store Owners/Managers, Deli Manager and Fresh Food Managers.
- To achieve specific distribution and sales targets for product range
- To implement and control in store promotions.
- Ensure all key store personnel/retail groups are contacted in a timely and professional manner and kept up to date with store promotional progress/implementation
- To capture all relevant sales activity and data accurately
- To keep up to date with all market information both consumer and competitor related and report daily/weekly on same to Manager.
- Analyse and action weekly and monthly sales reports
- To adhere to best practice relevant HACCP rules and procedures in line with company and customer requirements
- Always represent the company and its brands in a professional manner.
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A strong field sales/retail background (Ideally with experience in FMCG or Food)
- Ability to grow new business and develop existing accounts.
- Ambitious, pro-active and energetic in developing new business.
- A professional manner, articulate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Strong computer experience
- A full clean driving license is essential
