Business Development Manager (Financial)

Job Description

VANRATH are assisting a financial services firm with the recruitment of a Business Development Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a dynamic and growing organisation that places immense value on its people.

This is a permanent - Full-Time position based out of a Belfast office, with field visits.

Salary

£40,000 - £50,000 basic + benefits package + Mileage + High OTE (enquire within) + Development and progression opportunities

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior leadership to identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities across multiple sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, partners and intermediaries.
  • Act as the main point of contact for new client acquisitions, ensuring a professional and consultative approach.
  • Develop tailored proposals and presentations to support business growth.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales pipeline, from prospecting through to closing deals.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to design and execute targeted campaigns.
  • Attend client meetings, networking events and industry functions to enhance brand visibility.
  • Report regularly on pipeline progress, business development activity and revenue targets.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell services to existing clients.
  • Support the continuous improvement of business development processes and practices.

Ideal Person:

  • Previous experience in business development / sales within professional services or advisory sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify market opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and manage long-term relationships.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Northern Ireland when required.
