VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with an innovative and design-led architecture firm, delivering high-quality design solutions across Northern Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their commercial team, working closely with a portfolio of construction companies specialising in commercial fit-outs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical sales professional with a strong understanding of construction and building services to join a growing organisation with genuine progression opportunities.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving commercial growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and delivering design-led solutions to pre-construction and building services clients.

This is a field-based role, involving regular client and site visits across Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive client engagement
  • Manage and develop key accounts across Northern Ireland
  • Conduct regular customer and site visits to assess requirements
  • Support design development, specification, and project delivery
  • Research and analyse market trends to identify new business opportunities
  • Prepare, present, and negotiate proposals tailored to client needs
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service throughout the project life cycle


The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong technical sales background within Construction, Engineering, or Building Services.
  • Previous commercial experience in a field-based or face-to-face sales role.
  • Experienced in managing and growing existing clients.
  • Good understanding of building services frameworks and commercial fit-out designs.
  • Experienced in delivering CPD (ideal).
  • Full UK driving licence.
