VANRATH are delighted to be representing a Prestigious Manufacturing business who are headquartered here in Northern Ireland. A vitally important position is now available for an experienced and dedicated Business Development Manager based at their Dungiven site.

Monday - Friday - Permanent position

Salary & Benefits:

  • £35,000 - £40,000 + commission.
  • Fully expensed Company Car (EV) would be provided.
  • Equipment provided.

The ideal person:

  • At least two year's experience in a similar position
  • Manufacturing or Production background
  • Hungry for Sales, winning new business and nurturing existing business.
  • Ability to create strategies to drive growth and increase revenue.

As the BDM, your duties will include:

  • Identifying Opportunities: Researching and analysing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities for the organisation.
  • Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and providing solutions to meet their requirements. This involves regular communication, meetings, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • New Business Acquisition: Prospecting and generating leads, pitching products to potential clients, and negotiating contracts or deals. This may involve conducting presentations, attending industry events, and networking to expand our organisation's client base.
  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives to achieve business objectives. This includes setting sales targets, creating marketing campaigns, and forecasting sales projections.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and finance to align business strategies and ensure smooth execution of plans.
  • Market Research: Conducting market research to gain insights into customer preferences, industry trends, and competitive analysis. This information helps in identifying gaps in the market and developing strategies to gain a competitive edge.
  • Proposal and Contract Preparation: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to prepare and present proposals, bids, or contracts to potential clients. This involves understanding client requirements, pricing negotiations, and ensuring legal compliance.
  • Relationship Building: Networking with industry professionals, attending conferences, trade shows, and events to build a strong professional network and promote this organisation's products.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitoring sales performance, analysing data, and generating regular reports to track progress against targets. This information helps in making informed decisions and adjusting strategies where necessary.
  • Adaptability and Initiative: Being proactive, adaptable, and willing to take the lead in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This may involve exploring emerging markets, technologies, or partnerships to drive growth.
