VANRATH are assisting a technology company that is focused on sustainability for various industries with the recruitment of a Business Development Executive.

We are looking for a highly driven, target/KPI focused salesperson who thrives in a competitive environment and consistently goes the extra mile to win new business.

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager, you'll take early-stage opportunities and convert them into active sales discussions.
As a crucial bridge between customers and our commercial team, you'll lead prospects through trials, shape business cases, and help move deals forward at a critical stage of the sales cycle.

  • Progress early-stage interest into active sales conversations, accelerating opportunities through the mid-funnel.
  • Meet regularly with prospects (virtually or in person) to present solutions, understand needs, and provide tailored support.
  • Build strong, consultative relationships with stakeholders, acting as the key point of contact throughout the process.
  • Develop compelling business cases in collaboration with clients, drawing on their data and priorities.
  • Partner with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, Ops, and Tech to deliver accurate input and aligned support.
  • Coordinate and support the setup and rollout of customer trials where required.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication while keeping HubSpot CRM and deal pipelines up to date.
  • Prepare thoroughly for meetings, offering relevant insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to faster deal cycles, improved conversion rates, and overall pipeline growth.
  • Track and report on performance metrics with the Sales & Marketing Manager, sharing insights to drive continuous improvement.

Ideal Person:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a relevant scale-up technology sales role or equivalent B2B environment.
  • Professional attitude and excellent people skills to build and progress opportunities.
  • Degree in a business-related discipline (2:1 or higher) ideal.
  • Clear passion, drive, and a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Experience thriving in busy and diverse work environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
