Job Description

VANRATH is delighted to have partnered with a leading manufacturer to recruit a Business Development Executive to join their talented and growing team.

Salary/ Benefits
£28,000 - £30,000 basic plus bonus (monthly, quarterly and annual bonuses)

Hours

Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm

Friday 8.30am - 2pm

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for generating leads, contacting potential customers via telephone/teams, and converting leads into sales opportunities, while working to monthly revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and engagement
  • Achieve call targets by contacting relevant customers to convert on pre-identified product targets
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to effectively promote our products or services and provide tailored solutions
  • Follow company processes to achieve product conversion targets
  • Identify potential leads and opportunities for new business development within existing customer accounts
  • Proactively prospect and reach out to customers to present new products, promotions, or up-selling opportunities
  • Liaise daily with your associated ASM, sharing information on product discussions / pricing for customers within the area
  • Assist with customer head office visits and be flexible to attend occasional field visits with Area Sales Manager, as and when required
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline updates using CRM software
  • Overcome objections and address concerns raised by potential customers to secure sales appointments or close deals
  • Manage and prioritise leads

Essential Criteria

  • 2-3+ years in sales
  • CRM experience
  • Resilient

Desirable Criteria

  • Sales experience within FMCG or Manufacturing
