Business Analyst - Educational Institution

VANRATH are excited to be recruiting for a Business Analyst for an established Educational focused organisation. Within this assignment, the successful post-holder will be supporting on a major project that involves the implementation of a software publishing system where over 15,000 users will be using on a daily basis.

This is a full time post 37.5 hours per week, this role will be suited to an experienced Business Analyst who enjoys working on projects whilst working with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Portfolio pipeline through the analysis of business problems and opportunities.
  • Develop a framework and tools to embed a consistent approach to business process analysis, process mapping, service design, service optimisation and customer journey mapping.
  • Analyse the current and future portfolios and make recommendations on the programme/project mix.
  • Contribute to 'as is' and 'to be' analyses for key strategic business cases.
  • Evaluate project work flow and support the implementation of process achieve more efficient delivery.
  • Undertake detailed business analysis work, working collaboratively with users and stakeholders,
  • Produce and present updated process documentation for use across the portfolio, user requirements specifications, cost benefit analysis, gap analysis, impact analysis, and any other design documentation needed to ensure the successful development and implementation of processes and/or systems.
  • Support the detailed specification and modelling of recommended solutions, applying analysis standards, methods and tools in an intelligent and effective way.
  • Plan, arrange and lead meetings and workshops with client/user staff during the investigative stages and throughout subsequent development work, presenting issues and solutions both orally and in writing and applying creativity to devise varied solutions to complex problems.
  • Take responsibility for building and maintaining effective business relationships with stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and guidance relevant to expertise to stakeholders and other colleagues to support smarter decision making based on organisational priorities and focus on benefits identified and realised.

The Ideal Person:

  • Degree/HND in ICT or related discipline with 3 years relevant experience in an IT environment OR 5 years relevant experience in an IT environment.
  • Ability to gain user requirements and suggest solutions at a level of detail that the recipient can understand.
  • Ability to produce and review complex technical documentation e.g. system specifications, technical reports, data flow diagrams, new business models.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and present results in an appropriate manner;
