Bricklayer (Public Sector)
VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an Bricklayer
for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. You will predominantly be based in their Portadown site.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret construction plans and specifications to determine layout and materials required.
- Measure and cut bricks, blocks, or other materials to size using hand or power tools.
- Lay bricks or blocks in courses, ensuring alignment and levelness.
- Apply mortar between bricks or blocks and remove excess mortar to achieve a neat finish.
- Repair or replace damaged bricks or blocks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
The Ideal Person:
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer, preferably in the public sector or construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
- Experience working on Response Maintenance contracts
Remuneration
£25,000 - £27,000 plus Van & Fuel Card.
