Bricklayer (Public Sector)

VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an Bricklayer
for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. You will predominantly be based in their Portadown site.


  • Interpret construction plans and specifications to determine layout and materials required.
  • Measure and cut bricks, blocks, or other materials to size using hand or power tools.
  • Lay bricks or blocks in courses, ensuring alignment and levelness.
  • Apply mortar between bricks or blocks and remove excess mortar to achieve a neat finish.
  • Repair or replace damaged bricks or blocks as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

The Ideal Person:

  • Proven experience as a Bricklayer, preferably in the public sector or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
  • Experience working on Response Maintenance contracts

£25,000 - £27,000 plus Van & Fuel Card.
