Client
VANRATH are working with an innovative and successful software company based in Belfast city centre who require a Bookkeeper to work alongside their Finance Director. This is due to an increase in workload and could be a good opportunity to secure a longer term contract.
Reporting to the FD, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for taking control of the transactional finance along with assisting with the weekly/monthly process. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business who have identified a niche market area and are successfully capitalising on it. They are known for providing their customers with accurate and fast information.
The Ideal Person
If you've 2+ years' experience of working as an Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper:
- Qualified Accounting Technician or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or Qualified by Experience
- Strong Excel skills, ability to use analysis tools
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Work on own initiative
Responsibilities
As a Bookkeeper you will be responsible for:
- Processing purchase invoices
- Allocation of incoming payments
- Maintenance of computerised accounts systems
- Processing expense claims
- Process month end journals
- Processing monthly payroll
