Bid Manager

VANRATH is excited to be working with a leading Construction company in Belfast to recruit a Bid Manager.

Location: Cookstown Office
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with no weekend work required

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire bid process-from identifying relevant opportunities via procurement portals to delivering well-crafted, competitive proposals. You'll collaborate with senior leaders and subject matter experts to create persuasive submissions that effectively highlight the consultancy's strengths.

Your main duties will include:
* Actively scanning procurement platforms and other sources to uncover new tender opportunities.
* Managing the end-to-end bid and tender submission process.
* Developing and customising CVs, case studies, and capability statements for internal use.
* Organising and updating a central repository of bid materials and templates.
* Contributing to broader business development efforts and strategic growth initiatives.
* Implementing and promoting best practices in bid management.
* Laying the groundwork for and leading a dedicated bid team as the company expands.

What You'll Bring as a Successful Bid Manager

To be a strong candidate, you should have:
* Proven experience managing bids within the Civil Engineering industry, ideally on the contractor side.
* Outstanding writing, editing, and communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail.
* The ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
* Confidence in working autonomously as well as collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
* A commercially focused mindset with a passion for business development.
