Client:
Our client is a leading interior fit-out contractor that have been operating for over 50 years. They specialise in creating outstanding interior fit-outs for the commercial, hospitality and retail sectors. The company take pride in creating bespoke solutions for their clients and due to the quality of their work win a lot of repeat business.
About the role:
- Interpret and work from detailed manufacturing drawings / specifications to create bespoke joinery items
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using a variety of tools and state-of-the art machinery
- Assemble, fit, and finish joinery products to a high standard, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Work with other joiners on the team to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects
- Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 Joinery qualification
- Proven track record of producing high-quality joinery work
- Proficiency in using a wide range of joinery tools and machinery
- Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and finishes
- Ability to read and interpret complex manufacturing drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively
- Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
- High level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility and adaptability to work on a variety of projects with varying requirements
