VANRATH are recruiting a Bench Joiner to work for a high level Commercial Fitout Contractor based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

£13 to £15 per hour + benefits

Client:

Our client is a leading fit-out contractor based in Greater Belfast, Northern Ireland. The business specialise in high quality commercial fit-out projects including retail and shopfitting, bars and restaurants, hotels, commercial offices, gyms and more.

They have many projects ongoing and many more in the pipeline, business is very busy and as a result of continuous growth, they have a great opportunity for a Bench Joiner to join their on site workshop in Belfast.

Responsibilities:

You will be part of a team of people who are responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of commercial and bespoke fitout services. The role will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Perform high end joinery tasks as directed including the completion of the necessary documentation to show time and materials used
  • Organise, record and submit all details of work carried out on relevant work orders for weekly timesheet
  • Take instruction from workshop manager and carry out the task in a professional & efficient manner
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a safe working order
  • Work within the internal quality system ensuring that a high standard of production is maintained through to finished product stage
  • Operate to health and safety policy and guidelines laid down in the workshop and operate at all times in a safe and responsible manner
  • Maintain good housekeeping and a safe work environment and ensure own safety and safety of others
  • Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the Workshop Manager

The Ideal Person:

  • Previous experience of working in a joinery workshop
  • To be committed and hardworking
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Well organised, efficient at planning, prioritising and sequencing work
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and communicate with other members of staff
