Job Description

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Support Engineer to support the delivery of solutions and services from the organisations Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms. The primary goals of this role will be to provide hands-on technical support to manage and maintain the client's Microsoft 365 tenancy, to ensure that escalated issues are resolved as soon as possible, to implement new services that will bring immediate value to our customers and debug complex infrastructure level issues while making sure that you keep their environment available & secure. This is a 6-month ongoing temporary position.

This role is offering a lucrative starting salary of c£40,000 + holiday and pension from Day 1

Client

Our client is a large Belfast based health sector client, seeking to improve the health and wellbeing of the Northern Irish public. They apply the highest levels of knowledge and skill to preserve life, prevent deterioration and promote recovery. The Client provides high quality emergency, urgent and primary care services throughout Greater Belfast.

The Ideal Person

The successful candidate will be will be responding to support ticket escalations, working on internal projects to help deliver an amazing user experience to our internal customers, facilitating the automation of internal processes and working to tight SLAs. The ideal candidate needs to have the following experience;

  • Experience in managing a hybrid Microsoft 365, Azure and Azure AD environment for a large organisation.
  • Experience administering Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online and SharePoint Online environments.
  • Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills across a wide range of technical services.
  • A desire to develop new skills and stay up to date with the latest developments in the Microsoft cloud services data management and analytics
  • Technology or data focused degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience of working with and managing Intune/MEM, SCCM, Autopilot and Microsoft Modern Management solutions.
  • Experience in the following technologies:
    • Virtualisation (preferably VMware vSphere or similar)
    • Windows 10 build and deployment
    • Backup
  • Consultative approach and consultancy experience, ability to understand client requirements, develop solutions and undertake User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Any certification in Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Azure is desirable.

Responsibilities

As the Azure Cloud Support, you will:

  • Assist in the management and monitoring of the organisations Microsoft 365 (including Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive) and Microsoft Azure tenancies.
  • Assists with planning and implementing new products, features and security tools, recommending solutions which meet business needs taking into account target environment, performance, security requirements and existing systems.
  • Monitors performance statistics, providing appropriate reports on usage and taking appropriate corrective action when necessary.
  • Assist in development and monitoring of Azure budget and costs to provide appropriate consumption reports and recommending appropriate corrective action when necessary to deliver cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintains a highly secure system through effective technical design, governance, and oversight of delivered services.
  • Assist with the migration of data into the Microsoft 365 platform using OneDrive and SharePoint.
  • Produce and maintain Microsoft 365 and Azure configuration and user documentation
  • Monitors and investigates issues related to Microsoft 365 and Azure resources and resolve problems in systems, processes, and services as appropriate. following all organisational change control processes.
  • Provides support on Microsoft 365 and Azure issues ensuring resolutions are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Provides training, support, and advice for colleagues when necessary.
