AWS DevOps Lead (Up to £110k)

VANRATH are pleased to be working with once again with one of the US companies that came to Belfast and have built up a highly talented team and are looking for an AWS DevOps Lead. The company is currently remotely onboarding people but have created a great culture both in the office and working from home.

Key Duties & Responsibilities for the AWS DevOps Lead

o Deploy cloud-based infrastructure in AWS using Ansible and Terraform.
o Build CI/CD pipelines for in-house application deployments.
o Develop and maintain image definitions for containerized applications.
o Perform system administration and develop hardening routines for Debian and other linux systems.
o Work with development team to implement application performance monitoring and alerting.
o Work effectively in a cooperative and collaborative global team environment.

The Ideal Person:
o 5+ years professional experience
o Degree in Computer Science or similar, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
o Basic understanding of AWS Services including IAM, EC2, S3, Route53, EBS, ACM, ELB and KMS. Lambda and GCP experience a plus
o Basic understanding of Ansible, Terraform, or other infrastructure as code configuration management
o Understanding of VPN technologies, namely OpenVPN
o Basic understanding of containerization
o Proficient in a scripting language, such as Python or Bash
o Understanding of SSL Certificates and general Private Key Infrastructure
o Experience with RESTful web services a plus

Remuneration
Salary for the role is open to negotiation but would be around the 100-110k + benefits.
