The Client

The Role

As Director, you will play an integral leading role in the Audit Team in all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of clients. You will also provide assistance to Partners and Senior Management in both client work and in the leadership and management of the team. There will also be the opportunity to work on special projects and be involved in completing tenders for exciting new projects with other teams and member firms. Principal Accountabilities:

  • Responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients
  • Provide a value-add service to your clients
  • Contribute to the growth of our business, including the ability to identify and recognise business and sales opportunities with both new and existing clients
  • Ensure that assignments are completed within agreed budgets and timescales
  • Mentor and develop trainees and qualified staff through creating appropriate objectives, development plans and learning and developing activities.


Your Experience and Skills

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of:
    • UK GAAP
    • IFRS
    • International Auditing Standards
    • Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Experience of:
    • Leading complex audits
    • Managing a client portfolio
  • Systems and/or controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolations, group audits, statutory accounts and disclosures
  • High level verbal and written communication skills


The role will require occasional travel within the UK but will offer flexible/agile working.
