The Role
This role is varied and allow for an interesting day to day working life. The successful candidate will work alongside the Management Accountant to prepare management accounts and be responsible for the analysis of margin variances. The successful candidate will report to the financial controller and will be responsible for:

  • Assist with the preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts
  • Analyse sales/profitability to maximise margins
  • Conduct monthly financial review sessions
  • Lead overhead expenditure reporting and variance analysis, presenting findings to FCs and budget holders
  • Complete monthly rebate settlements
  • Support budget preparation, statutory audits
  • Manage tax submissions and other statutory requirements
  • Oversee Purchase Order requests
  • Continuously streamline business processes
  • Provide management with various financial information
  • Coordinate with other finance teams as needed



The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years' previously and be part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, IATI). It is vital the successful candidate has experience preparing management accounts and exposure to financial analysis. The successful candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • 5 GCSEs at grade C or above to include Maths and English
  • Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, IATI) or qualified by experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience preparing management accounts and assisting in month end processes
  • Previous experience in an FMCG environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
