VANRATH are delighted to be working exclusively with a innovative business, who are searching for and Assistant Accountant to join their finance function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance, including preparing reports, managing accounts payable/receivable, processing invoices, and reconciling accounts.

What you'll do
- Manage accounts receivable, resolve queries, and ensure timely invoicing with the service department
- Oversee accounts payable, ensuring timely supplier payments and handling queries
- Set up new suppliers in the system
- Assist with financial closing, cash flow monitoring, and statutory reporting
- Maintain internal controls and assist with balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide ad-hoc reporting, manage petty cash, and handle general administration
- Adhere to safety policies and respond to additional duties as needed
About you
- Professional Financial Qualification, ACCA, CIMA, AAT qualified or part qualified.
- Have previous 2+ years' experience working in Finance environment
- Detail-oriented and time-efficient
- Previous experience in cost accounting and working with inventory systems; IFS experience is advantageous.
