About you
- Solid accounts experience across AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and month-end
- Confident with journal posting (prepayments, accruals, payroll journals)
- Comfortable preparing accounts to Trial Balance level (or keen to step up, with support)
- Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots desirable) and experience with Sage/Xero (or similar)
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to meet deadlines while communicating clearly with stakeholders
What you'll do
- Purchase Ledger (3-way match, coding, approvals) and Sales Ledger (invoicing, cash posting)
- Complete bank postings and daily/weekly bank reconciliations
- Post month-end journals: accruals, prepayments
- Prepare VAT returns support packs; assist with payment runs and cashflow updates
- Produce aged creditor/debtor reports; support query resolution with suppliers/customers
- Assist the Finance Manager with month-end close and accounts to TB level; provide schedules for audit
