VANRATH are delighted to be working with a local SME based in Belfast City Centre who are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Assistant Accountant will assist contribute to the smooth and effective running of the company's financial and database systems along with the wider finance function.

The Ideal Person

If you are an Assistant Accountant and are immediately available to start;

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Highly organised
  • Strong IT skills including MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • PowerBI experience (desirable)


As an Assistant Accountant you will:

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Positing nominal links and holiday accruals
  • Reporting and systems maintenance
  • Purchase ledger
