VANRATH is delighted to be working with a local organisation who are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their team for an initial period of 12 months.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting in all areas of the finance function ensuring the smooth running of the department.

The Ideal Person

If you've 3+ years' experience of working in a similar role and are available at short notice:

• Part-Qualified Accountant/Qualified by experience
• Available immediately
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Previous experience using SAGE 200 (desirable)

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Managing AR function
• VAT returns
• Assist in the preparation of month end management accounts
• Daily bank reconciliations
• Manage/resolve AP team issues/queries
