Client

A leading Public Sector organisation is currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their team based in South Belfast for an initial 3-6 month contract.

Responsibilities

The Postholder will assist the Finance Manager to deliver financial accounting services and will be responsible for managing the payroll liaison function.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in various foreign currencies
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly finance reports
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Preparation of monthly VAT Returns

The Ideal Person

Demonstrate 5 years relevant* Finance experience at which 2 years should be at a Supervisory Level**

OR

Part Qualified Accountant (at Stage 3 and currently studying) under one of the 5 professional accounting institutes within the CCAB or CIMA and 2 years relevant* Finance experience.
