VANRATH are delighted to working with a prestigious engineering firm who are in search for a Part-Qualified/ Assistant Accountant to join the team and provide support to the finance function of the business. The Assistant Accountant will report to the Financial Controller.

What you'll do


The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the preparation and reporting of management accounts
  • Preparation of year end accounts to trial balance
  • Manage Accounts payable and Accounts receivable
  • Reconciliations
  • Vat returns
  • Assist with payroll information

The Ideal Candidate

  • Part-Qualified with professional qualifications (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), Accounting Technician AAT, or Qualified by experience
  • 2 years finance experience working in a relevant finance environment
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a team
