VANRATH are working with a leading manufacturing business who are at the forefront of their market, due to their continued ability to lead the innovation within their industry. They are known for their continued investment in their product development which continually push the boundaries of their industry. They are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join their team to assist with ensuring their financial performance is maintained at the expectations of their global team.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely production of monthly board backs and financial reports for senior management. This role would be ideal for an Assistant Accountant with proven experience of working in the month end management accounts process.

The Ideal Person

If you are an Assistant Accountant interested in working within a manufacturing environment;

  • Assistant Accountant with management accounts experience
  • Strong systems experience including MS Excel (Pivots and vLookups)
  • Comfortable with journal postings, accruals, and prepayments
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Accountant you will:

  • Assist with the production of monthly management accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Month end close
  • Analyse financial statements
