Assistant Accountant

The Role
A varied day to day role, to ensure the successful part-qualified accountant gains excellent experience across the whole finance function. Working alongside the Financial Accountant and reporting to the FC, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Journal Posting
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Profit & Loss Analysis
  • Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts
  • Invest NI claims
  • VAT Reconciliations & VAT Returns
  • Supporting year end accounting processes


The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified accountant looking to further enhance their career in a fast-paced finance team. The ideal candidate will be driven and hardworking and want to gain exposure across a vast market. This is a fantastic opportunity for a young professional who wants to learn and grow into a role, which can offer longevity and career enhancement. The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Partqualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/AC)
  • previous experience in a similar setting
  • Previous experience using ERP systems
  • Demonstrable experience of working toward tight deadlines and KPIs
  • Ability to be flexible and work as part of a tea
  • Ability to show initiative
  • Drive and determination
