Assistant Accountant
Job Description
VANRATH are delighted to be working with a local firm seeking to take on an Assistant Accountant into their team in Belfast.
Ideally suits
This role is ideally suited to an accounting technician or part-qualified accountant with experience in AP & AR using large volumes of data to assist the month end close of the finance department.

Responsibilities
- Reconciliation of supplier accounts
- Processing and allocating invoices
- Process accruals at month end
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
- Processing BACs payments
- Purchase/sales ledger
- Review VAT returns and submissions under MTD
Essential Criteria
- Ideally ATI qualified but not essential
- Experienced using Xero, Sage or Quickbooks
- Advanced Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Macros)
- 2 Years in a similar role
