Asset Renewal Manager
Are you an experienced engineer with a background in managing large-scale maintenance and overhaul projects? We're looking for a driven Asset Renewal Manager to oversee the heavy maintenance, refurbishment, and overhaul of complex machinery in our workshops. Your primary focus will be to ensure that all operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of asset renewal programs for the maintenance and overhaul of machinery, including major component rebuilds.
- Keep detailed records of material and labor costs associated with all maintenance and overhaul projects.
- Assist in developing and managing the budget for workshop operations, focusing on cost-efficiency and driving performance.
- Provide leadership and manage the engineering staff, ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Continuously improve and enforce safety procedures within the workshop environment.
- Oversee the management and compliance of the ISO9000 Quality System.
- Adapt to the evolving needs of the workshop and ensure flexibility in operations.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external partners, including suppliers.
- Uphold the organisation's commitment to equality and promote an inclusive work environment.
Experience:
- Essential:
- HNC/HND in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent) with at least 4 years of experience in heavy engineering or a related field.
- OR a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience in the maintenance and overhaul of vehicles or complex machinery.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with quality and safety management systems.
- Desirable:
- Knowledge of continuous improvement systems and their practical applications.
- Experience managing program budgets.
- Project management experience is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including occasional weekend or night shifts.
- Must meet the necessary medical standards for the role.
- A valid driving license.
