The Client
VANRATH are pleased to be working with our repeat client who specialises in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of commercial and industrial flue systems.

This client is seeking to add to their sales team due to GROWTH.

The territory for this role is still under work, but will likely be NI + Border Counties.

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious Sales Professional seeking their next sales development opportunity. The Area Sales Manager will focus on growing new business throughout Ireland. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, their new position will provide opportunities for professional and personal growth.

  • Gain an understanding of our Values, Culture, Products, Services and the sectors we work in
  • Contribute to the 5-Year Strategic New Business planning process for the company
  • Achieve and exceed your new business sales revenue and profit margin targets and KPIs which you will agree, execute and monitor in consultation with the Operations Director
  • Supported by our in-house Marketing Team, qualify and close new business in targeted sectors, while maintaining a substantial sales funnel
  • Spend a minimum of 3-days per week in the field focused on promoting the company's products/services and generating new business opportunities
  • Oversee submission of winning new business tenders/bids/proposals and quotations in a timely and professional manner
  • Systematically follow-up, negotiate and close new business opportunities in Ireland
  • Attend relevant trade shows, exhibitions and networking opportunities throughout Ireland and the UK as required to further raise the profile of the company.
  • Maintain new business reporting and monitoring procedures: keeping management updated regularly regarding commercial new business in the Ireland and UK,

The Ideal Candidate

  • A minimum of 3-years successful in-field experience with a proven track record of new business development is essential.
  • A track record of business development success in a similar related sector in Ireland is preferable.
  • A sound and current knowledge in a similar sector in Ireland is preferable.
  • Experience of selling industrial/domestic flue systems will be an advantage but is not essential as extensive industry and product training will be provided to the successful candidate.
