Area Sales Manager (Construction)(Car)

Job Description

VANRATH has partnered with a leading Timber Processor to hire an Area Sales Manager for the Northern Region of Ireland (NI + Louth, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal). The sales team is expanding due to continued growth and investment in the UK and Ireland.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join and lead a dynamic sales team and have ownership of both new and existing sales business.

Reporting to the Head of Group Sales, the successful candidate will join a dynamic sales team. This is a Field-based sales role, you may have an occasional trip to the office in either Enniskillen or Longford but your day will mainly be spent out visiting clients.

Salary

Extremely competitive salary on offer with a fully expensed company car and fantastic benefits package including discounts, discounted healthcare, pension, and employee support programmes. (The highest basic wage on the market for this type of role.


Responsibilities:

  • Repeat selling to a well-establish customer base, as well as generating new customers
  • Account managing for existing customer accounts
  • Build and develop on strong relationships with key accounts and Buying Groups across the region
  • Working towards and exceeding sales targets and milestones, while maintaining a high level or customer service
  • Willingness to grow and lead the sales territory
  • Update CRM system and maintain sales process from a key account / customer service perspective
  • Strong journey planning and excellent account management experience.

You will be covering the areas of Louth, to Donegal, including Monaghan, Cavan and NI.

The Ideal Person:

  • Seasoned construction sales candidate
  • Area sales experience across NI (ideally border counties or ROI also)

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Experience of either: timber sales into builders merchants / selling building or construction products into the builders merchants
  • Buying group experience
