Position: Permanent, Monday to Friday
Location: Office located near Hannahstown / Andersontown, Belfast

Salary:
£31,000 - £42,000 dependent on experience, plus a monthly productivity bonus (averaging £5,000 per year)


Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing, and commissioning fire alarm systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. All work must be completed to the highest standards and comply fully with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and commission both addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.

  • Diagnose and repair faults on fire detection and alarm systems.

  • Perform routine servicing, inspections, and testing in line with BS5839 standards.

  • Complete accurate service reports and maintain all necessary documentation.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and site personnel to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures.

  • Participate in the on-call rota and respond to emergency call-outs when required.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer.

  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, including addressable platforms such as Gent, Advanced, Kentec, and Morley.

  • Thorough understanding of BS5839 and related standards.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.

Desirable:

  • FIA or equivalent fire alarm training certification.

  • Experience with emergency lighting systems.

  • Familiarity with additional life safety systems such as access control and CCTV.
