Job description

We are working with a leading aerospace manufacturer in Belfast who is looking to add experienced Aircraft Structure Quality Inspectors to their team on a fixed-term contract. Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for quality inspection and assurance across a range of aircraft structural components. You will ensure that products meet design specifications, customer requirements, and industry regulations while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives on site.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting detailed inspections of aircraft structures throughout the manufacturing process

  • Verifying compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards

  • Supporting production teams by providing guidance and monitoring delegated inspection work

  • Highlighting and reporting any issues with drawings, processes, or tooling, and assisting with corrective actions

  • Producing clear technical documentation and inspection reports

  • Working flexibly across shifts, including 12-hour rotations where required


Candidate Profile

We are seeking candidates with a proven track record in aerospace quality inspection. To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 12 months of previous aerospace inspection experience (essential)

  • A recognised apprenticeship and a minimum of 2 years' post-apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or tooling environment

  • A strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • Good communication skills with the confidence to advise and support production teams

  • Experience working within established quality control processes and regulatory frameworks

  • An HNC or equivalent qualification is desirable, though candidates with extensive relevant experience will also be considered
