Aftercare & Service Coordinator

Location: Newry
Salary: £28,000
Contract: Short term interim contract

Monday - Thursday: 8.30am - 5.00pm
Friday: 8.30am - 3.30pm

An established and growing construction organisation is seeking to appoint an Aftercare & Service Coordinator to join their team in Newry. This role plays a key part in supporting clients following project completion, ensuring any defects, servicing requirements, and post-installation issues are managed efficiently and professionally.

The Role

The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for aftercare enquiries, coordinating service activities and ensuring issues are resolved within agreed contractual timeframes. The position requires strong organisational skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for client enquiries relating to aftercare and servicing support.
  • Coordinate servicing and defect resolution with engineers and relevant subcontractors.
  • Monitor project defect periods and ensure issues are resolved within agreed contractual timelines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, service providers, and internal teams.
  • Conduct project familiarisation and quality assurance visits prior to completion and handover.
  • Maintain accurate records of service requests, client interactions, and issue resolution.
  • Work with engineering and QA teams to assess defect notifications.
  • Identify recurring defects and escalate issues relating to subcontractor performance.
  • Support management reporting by compiling relevant service and performance data.

Candidate Criteria

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Previous experience coordinating aftercare or servicing within a construction environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Experience liaising with multiple trades or disciplines.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
