Administrative Officer - Public Sector

Job Description

VANRATH are recruiting for an Administrative Officer with experience of working in an office environment to support our client's busy customer-focused team on a temporary basis with the possibility of extension.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to progress their administrative career within a large public sector organisation based in the Greater Belfast area. This role will help you gain and develop valuable skills across Administration and Client Engagement.

About you

The successful candidate will hold GCSE qualifications of at least Grade C in five subjects, two of which must be English Language and Mathematics.

Applications will also be considered from applicants with relevant formal qualifications considered to be of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.

You must almost evidence in your CV at least two year's relevant experience of clerical/administrative work, which must include experience in filing and updating/maintaining online record systems and the use of modern office equipment.

What you'll do

The post- holder will report to the service Manager and be responsible for delivering an administrative support function in line with the Organisation's quality standards. Administrative Officers are expected to plan and organise their workload to meet quality standards and deadlines, as well as dealing with colleagues and customers in an effective and professional manner.
