Accounts Technician

Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant who is keen to join a local firm in County Antrim. This role is offering excellent exposure across a diverse range of clients and the opportunity to work directly with the founder of the business.

The Ideal Person
If you have transaction finance experience across accounts receivable, accounts payable & payroll.

• Previous assistant accountant experience
• Small practice experience
• Exposure to accountancy packages such as Sage, Xero or Quickbooks
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Proactive approach
• Strong teamwork ability

Responsibilities

• Allocating incoming payments
• Compiling bank reconciliations
• Journal entries bad debts, depreciation, accruals, prepayments
• Assist in year-end procedures
• Assist with self assessment & corporate tax returns
• VAT returns in line with making tax digital
