Due to significant growth, our client is keen to recruit an Accounts Supervisor to assist the Finance Director in the day-to-day running of an incredibly busy finance function.

The Role

The successful Accounts Supervisor will report to and assist the Finance Director in the day-to-day running of the finance function. You will assist in people management, as well as producing monthly management reports and timely financial reporting. The successful Accounts Supervisor will be responsible for the following:

  • Management of the accounts team, supervision of the Sales & Purchase ledgers and payroll
  • Reviewing and approving periodic supplier payment runs
  • Auditing spot checks to ensure information is correctly coded and departmentalised
  • Credit control
  • Ensuring timely submission of various PAYE/VAT/Statutory reports in our various jurisdictions
  • Monitor key accounts email inbox
  • Production of monthly reports
  • Assisting the production of Management Accounts
  • Assisting the sales and payroll team when required
  • Ad hoc accounts and administration tasks as required

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be ideally IATI qualified or working toward a professional qualification in accountancy and finance such as IATI, CIMA, ACCA. The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working within a finance department
  • Strong IT skills and in particular Excel and SAGE (Sage 50 desirable)
  • Good time management, with the ability to work to deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and develop your career within a supportive environment
  • Highly organised and able to work on own initiative
