About you
The successful Accounts Assistant will be driven and have excellent attention to detail. Previous experience in an accounts tea Is preferred but not essential.

  • A minimum of 2 years' experince in a similar role
  • Experience using Sage ideally
  • Demonstrable experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and a real team player
  • Previous experience in working in an accounts or administrative team

About your new role
As an Accounts Assistant you will have a varied work life, and assist the Office Manager and the Financial Controller in daily accounting duties. You will play a vital role in ensuring the sales and purchase ledger are reconciled promptly and effectively for month end. The successful Accounts Assistant will carry out the following:

  • Credit control
  • Maintaining a high-volume sales ledger to ensure all invoices are allocated in a timely fashion and reconciled accordingly
  • Process direct debit payments and BACS payments
  • Processing customer sales orders and setting up customer accounts
  • VAT and Instrat retruns
