What You'll Do
As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance office, with responsibility for purchase payments and customer receipts. Working across multiple entities, you'll liaise directly with suppliers and customers, ensuring accurate processing and high levels of service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing supplier payments and reconciling statements
- Inputting and allocating customer receipts
- Handling inbound enquiries and resolving supplier/customer queries
- Maintaining records in line with company systems and reporting requirements
- Supporting telephone duties and wider admin functions as needed
- Ensuring all work meets internal service standards and health & safety policies
About You
We're looking for a confident, organised individual with experience in a fast-paced finance or office environment. You'll be someone who enjoys a varied workload, is comfortable dealing with people over the phone, and can manage deadlines with ease.
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an office-based role
- Good standard of education, including GCSE/equivalent in Maths
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office packages
- Confident communicator with a professional phone manner
