VANRATH are delighted to be working alongside a leading hospitality firm seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a critical role in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping for our operations.
About you
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions specific to the hospitality industry.
- Processing invoices, vendor payments, and reconciling statements.
- Coordinating with various departments to resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
- Assisting in monitoring and maintaining accurate records of daily revenue and sales.
- Performing regular bank reconciliations and cash management activities.
- Assisting in preparing financial reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Assisting in month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree preferred
- Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
